In this exciting opportunity, play a pivotal role in supporting students success and well-being throughout a K-12 setting. As an onsite School Psychologist, youll collaborate with dedicated educators, administrators, and families to help students overcome barriers to learning and thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. This contract position offers a consistent schedule of 36.25 hours per week and the chance to make a tangible, positive impact in the school community.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Possession of a valid Illinois School Psychologist License
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings preferred
- Strong skills in conducting assessments, consultations, and providing counseling
- Collaborative mindset and excellent communication abilities
- Flexibility and resourcefulness in meeting diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for referred students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct counseling services and interventions to students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create a supportive learning environment
- Support early identification and prevention strategies for academic or behavioral concerns
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
