This contract-to-hire position offers the perfect opportunity to build relationships within a school community while developing your professional skills.
In this role, youll collaborate with educational staff and families to address a variety of student needs, offering expertise that can help shape a positive learning environment for learners across age groups. You will support a diverse caseload of approximately 40 to 50 students, gaining exposure to both high school and elementary populations.
Qualifications:
- Current School Psychologist license issued by the State Board
- Experience providing services in a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of counseling techniques, psychological assessments, and intervention strategies
- Effective communication and collaborative skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners in a caring, professional manner
Role Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students using psychological and educational assessment tools
- Develop and implement intervention and support plans tailored to individual student needs
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to facilitate student learning and resolve behavior or academic concerns
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and documentation as needed
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards
