Job Description

A school district in Mustang, OK is seeking an experienced School Psychologist to provide essential psychological services within the school setting. This contracted role offers the opportunity to support student learning and development through assessment, intervention, and collaboration with educational staff and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate student learning, behavior, and emotional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized interventions to support students academic and social success
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive learning environments
  • Provide counseling and support services for students as needed
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare comprehensive reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Stay current with best practices in school psychology and legal requirements

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Valid state certification or licensure for School Psychologist
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and developing intervention plans
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, mental health issues, and educational systems
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams
