Key qualifications required for this role include:
- Valid South Carolina Educator Certification for School Psychologists
- Proven experience providing counseling, assessment, and intervention services in K12 schools
- Strong knowledge of special education eligibility and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other support professionals
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across three school environments
In this onsite position, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological and academic evaluations for students referred for assessment
- Providing direct support and consultation to teachers, staff, and families regarding behavioral, emotional, and learning needs
- Participating in multi-disciplinary teams to address student support and special education services
- Developing and implementing interventions to support student success, both individually and in group settings
- Assisting with crisis intervention and helping to foster positive school climates
