Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid NY School Psychologist license (required)
- Experience working with children in elementary and/or middle school settings
- Strong understanding of psychological assessment, intervention, and counseling techniques
- Ability to travel among 12 district sites as needed (itinerant role)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners and collaborating with staff and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment data
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective interventions
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and support creation of student plans
- Provide direct counseling services and crisis intervention to students as necessary
- Support the social-emotional development and academic achievement of assigned caseload
- Travel to assigned elementary and middle school sites within the district
