Job Description

Exciting opportunities are available for dedicated School Psychologists or Psychometrists eager to make an impact with K-12 students in a supportive contract setting. Two positions are currently offered, serving different school environmentsone at an elementary school and the other covering a private school cluster in the Mobile, AL area. Flexibility and strong collaboration skills will be essential as one assignment is itinerant and exact school locations will be finalized soon.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, active Alabama school psychology license (required)
  • Previous experience in school psychology or psychometry with K-12 populations
  • Ability to present valid licensing documentation at the time of application
  • Willingness to work fully on-site (no virtual/remote options)
  • Comfortable with possible travel between schools if assigned itinerant duties

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough psychological assessments and interpret test results for educational planning
  • Provide direct and consultative services to students, staff, and families
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to develop and monitor IEPs and intervention plans
  • Document and report case notes in alignment with district and state compliance
  • Support school-based problem-solving initiatives and contribute expertise to intervention teams

Additional Details:

  • Full-time, contract assignment; 37.5 hours per week from August 2026 through May 2027
  • Primarily serving K-12 students, with specific caseload and school assignments to be determined
  • In-person interviews are required, with the next round held on-site April 27, 2026
  • There is a strong possibility for extension into summer and the next school year
