Enhance the educational landscape in the Minneapolis area by supporting students and staff as a contract School Psychologist. Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering positive learning environments and nurturing student growth while collaborating with educators and families to ensure academic and emotional success.
Desired Background and Qualifications:
- Valid state certification or licensure in School Psychology
- Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), Master's, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology or related field
- Previous experience in K-12 settings preferred, but strong new graduates are welcome
- Comprehensive knowledge of special education procedures and assessments
- Proficiency in conducting psychoeducational evaluations, behavioral interventions, and data analysis
- Strong communication, consultation, and advocacy skills
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion with a culturally responsive approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform psychological and academic assessments to identify students strengths and needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Consult with educators, parents, and administrators to develop evidence-based strategies supporting student outcomes
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Implement data-driven decision-making to guide behavioral and instructional interventions
- Promote social-emotional learning and mental health awareness within the school community
- Maintain accurate documentation consistent with district, state, and federal guidelines
