Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving early learners as a School Psychologist in the Minneapolis area. This position begins with the start of the school year and continues through early December, allowing you to make a meaningful impact within a supportive school environment. Working three days each week, your expertise will be valued as you contribute to the growth and well-being of young students.
As part of a skilled interdisciplinary team, you will conduct assessments, provide consultation, and collaborate closely with educators and families to ensure each childs success. Your specialized training in early learning will support interventions and strategies tailored to the individual needs of your caseload.
Desired Skills and Requirements:
- Active Minnesota Psychologist License
- Current Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) School Psychologist License
- Proven experience or strong interest in early learning settings
- Understanding of assessment tools and intervention strategies appropriate for young children
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with both staff and families
- Ability to work onsite
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and participate in eligibility decision-making
- Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers and families
- Develop intervention and support plans for students with diverse needs
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and write relevant documentation
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for early learners
- Maintain detailed and accurate records in line with school and state requirements
