Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Active and valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience administering, scoring, and interpreting psychoeducational and behavioral assessments
  • Skilled in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans and IEPs
  • Strong communication and consultation abilities with teachers, parents, and staff
  • Deep understanding of federal and state education laws, including IDEA and Section 504
  • Flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced school settings
  • Prior experience in a school-based role is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students referred for educational or behavioral concerns
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP development and progress monitoring
  • Provide targeted interventions and support services to students individually and in small groups
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding strategies, accommodations, and resources
  • Offer crisis intervention and counseling when needed
  • Support the implementation of school-wide initiatives to enhance student well-being and classroom climate
