Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in the Phoenix metro region as a school psychologist. This position spans the academic year from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with schedule and school assignment tailored to staffing needs across several campuses. Depending on your placement, you may work at elementary or high school sites, with varying weekly schedules from part- to full-time.
Leverage your expertise in a dynamic, supportive environment where your skills will make a direct impact on the lives of students aged K-12. Youll be part of a proactive team, expected to be a self-starter ready to manage caseloads of approximately 60 students, performing approximately 12 evaluations each day, primarily using pen-and-paper methods. Familiarity with Google Suite and Synergy is a significant asset, as these platforms are widely used within the district. Please note, this is an in-person role exclusively; virtual/remote work is not permitted.
Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Department of Education School Psychologist Certification
- Active IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Background in school psychology and related evaluation processes
- Experience with Google Suite and knowledge of Synergy is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in fast-paced settings
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive student evaluations and assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to develop effective intervention strategies
- Document findings, maintain accurate records, and adhere to confidentiality standards
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling when necessary
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and support Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
