Job Description
An opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to support students within multiple elementary and junior high school settings in Mesa, AZ. This contract position offers a full-time schedule, providing critical psychological services to a diverse student population.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations with an estimated caseload of 60 students, completing approximately 12 evaluations per day using pen and paper methods.
- Provide support and interventions across assigned schools, including one position at an elementary school and another serving as a floater between an academy, elementary, and junior high.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavioral strategies.
- Utilize district systems such as Google Suite and Synergy to manage data and documentation, with a preference for candidates familiar with these platforms.
- Maintain compliance with district policies and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Arizona Department of Education Certification with Special Education endorsement required.
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Card.
- Demonstrated ability as a self-starter who can quickly adapt and effectively begin work.
- Experience with school psychological evaluations and caseload management preferred.
- Familiarity with Google Suite and Synergy is highly advantageous.
Location & Schedule:
- Position based in the Phoenix metropolitan area, primarily serving schools in Mesa.
- Full-time commitment (37.5 hours per week).
- Contract duration through May 21, 2026, with an immediate start preferred.
