This contract role runs from August 5, 2026, through May 21, 2027, offering you the chance to make a difference across multiple age groups, primarily in an engaging Pre-K2nd grade setting, with occasional responsibilities at the local high school.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Tennessee Psychologist License
- Experience or interest in working with early childhood and adolescent populations
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- Capacity to carry out assessments and support diverse learners effectively
- Ability to work independently while valuing collaboration with educators and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for Pre-K through high school students, with an emphasis on elementary cases
- Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and families to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide crisis intervention and consultation as needed
- Deliver counseling services and participate in intervention planning
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to ethical and legal guidelines
- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings, supporting the success and well-being of approximately 2800 students throughout the district
