Job Description

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid certification or license as a School Psychologist in North Carolina
  • Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field
  • Experience performing evaluations and assessments in an educational environment
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and special education regulations
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to develop and implement intervention strategies and support plans

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological and academic assessments to identify learning and behavioral challenges
  • Develop and participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, providing insights and recommendations
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student success and well-being
  • Provide counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention as needed
  • Collect, interpret, and maintain accurate data and documentation for compliance
  • Engage in problem-solving and intervention planning for individual students and groups
