Job Description

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist license or certification that meets West Virginia state requirements
  • Graduate degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
  • Prior experience in a school or educational setting is strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of psychological evaluation methods, behavior intervention plans, and special education processes
  • Excellent communication, consultation, and collaboration skills to work with educators, administrators, and families
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for students referred for academic, emotional, or behavioral concerns
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide direct and indirect counseling services to students, promoting positive behavioral and academic outcomes
  • Participate actively in Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) processes
  • Assist in crisis intervention and offer timely support in urgent situations
  • Engage in parent-teacher meetings, conferences, and professional development to support student well-being
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential student records in compliance with state and federal regulations
