Job Description
Step into a vital role supporting high school students as a dedicated school psychologist for the upcoming academic year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work onsite, providing direct psychological services within a supportive educational environment near Maple Park, IL.
Youll work closely with approximately 30 high school students, addressing their academic, emotional, and behavioral needs. With the school year spanning from August 10, 2026, to May 14, 2027, your expertise will make a considerable impact on student success and well-being.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid IL PSYCH license (required)
- Previous experience working as a school psychologist, preferably at the high school level
- Strong understanding of assessment tools, IEP processes, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to provide counseling, consultation, and support for students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students referred for assessment
- Develop, implement, and monitor individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioral interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students needs are met
- Deliver individual and group counseling focused on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional issues
- Assist in crisis intervention, prevention programs, and ongoing student support initiatives
