Job Description
Step into an impactful role as a school psychologist, supporting high school students throughout the academic year. This full-time, contract opportunity runs from August 10, 2026, through May 14, 2027, with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule from 7:30AM to 3:00PM. Engage directly with a caseload of approximately 30 students, collaborating with educators and families to foster academic, emotional, and social well-being.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois School Psychologist license (required)
- Experience working with high school students preferred
- Strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills
- Comfort working onsite in a school setting
- Commitment to confidentiality, ethical practices, and student advocacy
- Excellent communication and collaborative abilities
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting evaluations for special education eligibility and crisis intervention
- Developing and implementing evidence-based strategies and supports for students
- Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Providing individual and group counseling as needed
- Consulting with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote student success
- Maintaining clear, up-to-date documentation of services provided
