Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience with psychological assessments, counseling, and developing interventions within an educational setting
  • Strong understanding of Response to Intervention (RTI), IEP development, and behavior management strategies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with culturally responsive practices in diverse school communities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students strengths, needs, and eligibility for special education services
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with staff and families
  • Provide direct counseling and intervention services to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns
  • Serve as a resource for teachers and administrators on issues related to student mental health and learning
  • Contribute to crisis intervention, prevention initiatives, and school-wide programs that enhance student wellness
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
