Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a School Psychologist serving a preschool setting near Manchester, CT. This role spans the 2026-2027 academic year, with consistent weekdays from 8:00am to 3:30pm (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break). You'll make a positive impact on young learners while collaborating with educators and families to support each child's development.
What We're Looking For:
- Valid Connecticut School Psychologist (CT PSYCH.) license
- Previous experience or strong interest in early childhood or preschool populations
- Ability to deliver comprehensive psychological servicesincluding assessment, consultation, and intervention
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, working closely with students, staff, and families
- Proactive approach to managing caseloads and prioritizing student needs
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments to support early learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Develop and implement individualized support and intervention plans
- Consult with teachers, support staff, and families regarding student progress and strategies
- Engage in crisis intervention and prevention efforts as needed
- Participate in meetings, including IEP and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school policies
- Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment to help children thrive
