Job Description

Make an impact on the lives of students and school communities as a dedicated School Psychologist for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year. Work within a supportive educational environment, offering district-wide services to enhance academic achievement and social-emotional well-being. This full-time contract role begins in mid-August 2026 and concludes in early June 2027, following the academic calendar.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctorate in School Psychology
  • Possession of or eligibility for a valid Nebraska Special Services Certificate
  • Nebraska School Psychology Endorsement or eligibility for reciprocity
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IDEA, special education eligibility, and IEP processes
  • Experience with psychoeducational evaluation and assessment report writing
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough psychoeducational evaluations and interpret findings to guide decision-making
  • Determine eligibility for special education services and suggest effective recommendations
  • Participate as a vital member of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)
  • Provide IEP development support through meaningful assessment data and recommendations
  • Plan and support behavioral interventions and individualized learning programs
  • Consult with teachers, staff, parents, and administrators regarding student needs
  • Advise on learning styles and behavioral management strategies
  • Build partnerships with outside agencies, healthcare providers, and family support organizations
  • Assist with crisis intervention and prevention efforts
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines governing special education
  • Engage in professional development for ongoing growth and best practices
