Job Description

This full-time contract position is seeking a licensed School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services within a K-12 school setting. The assignment focuses on students from pre-kindergarten through 4th grade and requires expertise in counseling, 504 case management, testing, and behavioral support.

Location: New London, Connecticut
Assignment Dates: August 25 to June 12
Hours: 35 hours per week (Full time)
Discipline: Psychology (CT Licensed School Psychologist)

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting individual and group counseling sessions to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development
  • Administering and interpreting psychological and educational assessments to identify student needs
  • Managing 504 plans in collaboration with students, families, and educational teams to ensure compliance and appropriate accommodations
  • Providing behavioral interventions and support strategies to promote positive outcomes in the classroom
  • Consulting with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop intervention plans and enhance student success

Qualifications:

  • Current Connecticut School Psychologist license required
  • Experience working with students in pre-K through 4th grade preferred
  • Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and behavioral intervention techniques
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
