Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support student success in a school environment located in Macomb, MI. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by assisting educators, students, and families through comprehensive psychological services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting psychological assessments to evaluate students cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and academic needs
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
  • Providing counseling and crisis intervention to students when necessary
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student development and well-being
  • Analyzing data and preparing detailed reports on student progress and assessment results
  • Promoting mental health awareness and supporting an inclusive school environment

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure
  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Experience conducting assessments and delivering counseling services in school settings
  • Strong knowledge of state regulations and educational laws related to special education
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations in a fast-paced educational environment
