Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the educational experience of students as a dedicated School Psychologist working onsite in a dynamic school setting near Lowell, MI. This contract opportunity offers the chance to support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of learners from preschool through 12th grade for the upcoming 20262027 school year.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters Degree (or equivalent) in School Psychology
  • Current approval from the Michigan Department of Education as a School Psychologist
  • Demonstrated experience conducting special education evaluations
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Commitment to timelines and compliance with state and federal special education guidelines

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students referred for special education evaluation
  • Evaluate students cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning
  • Develop and present assessment results as part of multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Recommend evidence-based interventions and strategies to support student success
  • Consult with teachers, families, and other school staff on student needs
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal policies and procedures
  • Adjust role or responsibilities as needed to best address district priorities
