Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree (or higher) in School Psychology
- Approved as a School Psychologist by the Michigan Department of Education
- Demonstrated experience conducting special education evaluations
- Well-versed in collaborating with educators, administrators, and families
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Flexibility to adapt the role as district needs evolve
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver psychological services and comprehensive special education assessments for students spanning preschool through 12th grade
- Collaborate as part of multidisciplinary teams, contributing expert insight to support student success
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education standards, including timelines for evaluations
- Communicate results and recommendations clearly to families, staff, and other stakeholders
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in accordance with district and legal requirements
- Provide consultation and support to teachers and school staff regarding student behavior, learning, and mental health
- Participate in team meetings and professional development to stay current with best practices
