Key Qualifications:

• Masters degree or equivalent in School Psychology
• Current approval as a School Psychologist by the Michigan Department of Education
• Solid understanding of special education law, assessment tools, and eligibility requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple evaluations and documentation tasks efficiently

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and special education evaluations for students in preschool to 4th grade (with flexibility to specialize in grades 14 as needed)
• Interpret evaluation results, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to interdisciplinary teams
• Develop targeted recommendations to support students educational progress and social-emotional growth
• Participate in planning and eligibility meetings, ensuring compliance with state requirements and timelines
• Collaborate closely with teachers, school support staff, and families to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
