An immediate opening is available for an on-site School Psychologist in the Columbus, OH area, serving K-8 charter schools within a well-established school network. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with school principals and special education teams to support students with a variety of disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students with diverse special education needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Conduct observations and data analysis to support student learning and behavioral interventions.
- Participate in SPED team meetings and assist in the implementation of effective support strategies.
- Maintain compliance with Ohio licensure requirements and school district policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio School Psychologist License.
- Experience working in K-8 school settings, particularly within charter or public school systems.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment tools, and behavioral intervention methods.
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving caseload details and school needs.
Location: This role is based on-site in Columbus, Ohio, within a contract framework anticipated to run until the end of the school year, with hours most likely full time (approximately 35 hours per week).
