Step into an impactful role supporting students educational and emotional well-being as a full-time School Psychologist in the vibrant Denver metropolitan area. This on-site contract position runs from July 31, 2026, to May 26, 2027, working Monday through Friday for 35 hours per week. Assignments include a dynamic mix of early childhood through high school students, with caseloads adjusted based on placement.
In this collaborative setting, youll engage directly with special education students through individual and group counseling designed around IEP mental health goals. Your expertise will be invaluable in developing and implementing targeted interventions for academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. Youll play a key role in crisis managementconducting risk assessments, supporting safety plan development, responding to crises, and providing critical support in sensitive situations.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct cognitive, emotional, and behavioral assessments; develop and interpret evaluation reports
- Participate actively in IEP planning, progress monitoring, and goal setting
- Collaborate with school staff, outside agencies, families, and community partners
- Deliver psychoeducational services, professional development for staff, and behavioral consultations
- Support school-wide and individual interventions as part of the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support
- Maintain thorough documentation of services and evaluations
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A Masters, Specialists, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Active CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology
- Minimum of three years of previous school-based experience
- Outstanding interpersonal, assessment, and crisis management skills
- Strong proficiency with computer technology and data management
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, diverse educational environment
