Job Description
A licensed School Psychologist is needed to support students across multiple grade levels, including K-5, 6-8, and 9-12, in a school setting located in Leola, SD. This contract position is ideal for professionals who are passionate about providing comprehensive psychological services in an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and evaluations for students to identify learning, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in collaboration with educators, parents, and support staff
- Provide consultation services to teachers and administrators to promote positive student outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to special education eligibility decisions
- Support social-emotional development and crisis intervention efforts within the school community
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid South Dakota license as a School Psychologist
- Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or related field required
- Flexible caseload management with willingness to adapt to varying demands
- Collaborative approach to working with students, staff, and families
- Experience working within South Dakota schools is a strong advantage
- Candidates who are currently interns under supervision will be considered
