Job Description
A school psychologist position is available for the upcoming academic year, from August 12, 2026, to May 21, 2027, in the Kansas City, KS area. This contract role focuses on providing psychological services to K-12 students, particularly those with intense disabilities including non-verbal, physically impaired students, or those communicating with assistive technology devices.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and testing for students with diverse and complex needs.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to create effective intervention plans.
- Provide expert insights on student behavior and learning challenges.
- Possibly travel between multiple campus sites within the district to deliver services.
- Manage caseload and documentation in compliance with district standards.
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure.
- Experience working with K-12 students, especially those with severe disabilities.
- Ability to administer and interpret a variety of psychological assessments.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to travel between schools as needed.
