Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school psychologist, supporting K-12 students in a welcoming educational community near Lebo, KS. With your expertise, you'll play a key role in fostering positive academic, behavioral, and social outcomes for diverse learners. This full-time, onsite position runs from August 20, 2026, to May 20, 2027, with a consistent 37.5-hour work week. While your primary focus will be in Emporia, you'll occasionally visit nearby districts, all conveniently located within a 20-minute drive.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Kansas School Psychologist license is required
- Proven experience partnering with teachers, staff, and families to support student well-being
- Strong assessment, consultation, and intervention planning skills
- Familiarity with educational and behavioral strategies in K-12 settings
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to travel locally between assigned schools as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and share findings with IEP teams
- Collaborate with educators and parents to develop interventions tailored to student needs
- Provide individual and group counseling to promote social-emotional growth
- Contribute to the creation and monitoring of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Consult with staff on strategies for classroom management, behavioral supports, and crisis interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to state/federal guidelines
