Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters or specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field required
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Strong understanding of special education processes and IEP development
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Prior experience in a school environment is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for students referred for academic, behavioral, or emotional concerns
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver direct and indirect counseling services to support students mental health needs
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to design interventions and promote a positive school climate
- Communicate assessment findings and recommendations to students, families, and staff
- Provide crisis intervention and assist with behavior management planning as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and federal guidelines
