Key qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility
  • Masters or higher degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
  • Strong understanding of special education law and IEP processes
  • Excellent communication and rapport-building skills with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to collaborate on multi-disciplinary teams
  • Adaptability and commitment to culturally responsive practices

Primary responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students social, emotional, and academic needs
  • Develop and implement evidence-based interventions for students experiencing learning or behavioral challenges
  • Work collaboratively to create, update, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide consultation and recommendations to educators and parents/guardians
  • Lead prevention and crisis intervention activities as needed
  • Participate in data-driven decision-making for student support services
  • Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality according to district and legal guidelines
