Job Description

A K-12 school in Lapeer, MI, is seeking a licensed or preliminarily certified School Psychologist for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. This full-time contract position (37.5 hours per week) will begin in late August and conclude in early June. The role involves supporting students across all grade levels while collaborating with educators and community partners to foster positive behavioral and academic outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing training and implementing a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) to address diverse student needs
  • Assisting in the observation, development, and continuous evaluation of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and positive behavior support plans
  • Participating in professional development activities within the Intermediate School District (ISD) and Local Education Agency (LEA), including researching, designing, and delivering trainings
  • Conducting assessments such as benchmark screenings, progress monitoring, diagnostic evaluations, and observations; updating local norms and supporting data analysis
  • Collaborating with school personnel and community agencies to coordinate services and supports

Candidates must hold a license as a School Psychologist issued by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA). Those with preliminary certification will also be considered. Supervision may be available through designated support staff as needed.
