Job Description
A school psychologist position is available to support students' academic, emotional, and social development within a school setting located in Lakewood, OH. This contract role offers the opportunity to apply psychological expertise and collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to foster a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to identify students learning needs and behavioral challenges
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and intervention plans
- Provide counseling services and crisis intervention to support student well-being
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote effective strategies for student success
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and student evaluations
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant education and mental health regulations
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid licensure or certification as a school psychologist in the state
- Experience working in schools, assessing and supporting childrens mental health and learning needs
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and special education laws and procedures
