Play a pivotal role in fostering the emotional and academic well-being of young learners in a dynamic educational environment. This contracted, part-time position (approximately 0.8 FTE) is tailored for a dedicated School Psychologist eager to support early childhood students. Located in the greater Eden Prairie and Lakeville areas, youll collaborate with passionate educators and families, making a meaningful difference every day.
This opportunity offers the chance to focus on early intervention and prevention, tailoring your skills to meet the needs of a unique student population. Your expertise will promote growth and learning, helping children develop strong foundations for future academic and personal success. Compensation for this role is $50 per hour.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in the state of Minnesota
- Demonstrated experience working with early childhood or elementary-aged students
- Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments for early childhood students
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans and provide consultative support to educators and families
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on educational strategies and behavioral supports
- Support the creation of inclusive learning environments through social-emotional development and behavioral interventions
- Serve as a resource for families, helping them navigate special education services and available resources
