Embark on a fulfilling contract assignment as a School Psychologist serving elementary students in a supportive educational environment. This full-time opportunity is available for the upcoming school year and is located near Papillion, NE, close to La Vista. Engage with students, staff, and families to provide expert psychological services and help shape positive, inclusive learning experiences.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid Nebraska School Psychologist certification (or eligibility)
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred
- Strong assessment, report writing, and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Commitment to collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of current educational laws, IEP processes, and best practices
- Compassionate, adaptable, and dedicated to supporting diverse student populations
Major Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and interpret results
- Participate in eligibility determination meetings, IEP development, and progress monitoring
- Design interventions, support strategies, and behavior management plans
- Offer crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families on student concerns
- Collaborate with Special Education and related service providers
- Foster a positive school climate through advocacy and preventative programming
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using district-approved platforms
