Job Description
This position is for a School Psychologist providing support in an elementary school setting in La Jara, NM. The role involves onsite work with a part-time schedule of 10 hours per week, designed for the contract duration of the complete school year (CSY). The ideal candidate will possess a valid New Mexico School Psychologist license and have experience supporting the social, emotional, and academic needs of elementary students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations tailored to elementary students
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior management support
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assist in creating positive learning environments and improving student outcomes
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with state regulations and school policies
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid NM School Psychologist License required
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred
- Strong understanding of educational psychology and assessment tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
