Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist credential or certification (state requirements apply)
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments, including cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional components
- In-depth understanding of special education laws, IEPs, and 504 Plans
- Ability to provide both individual and group counseling
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, parents, and school staff
- Problem-solving expertise and a compassionate approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify student learning and behavioral needs
- Develop and contribute to IEPs and intervention strategies in collaboration with staff and families
- Deliver counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation services
- Interpret test results and compile detailed reports
- Provide guidance to teachers and families on instructional techniques and behavioral interventions
- Attend meetings, trainings, and professional development as required
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with school and district policies
