Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field
  • Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Previous experience conducting psychological assessments and evaluations in a school setting
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and familiarity with special education regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • A compassionate approach toward supporting diverse student populations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments to identify students strengths and needs
  • Interpret assessment results and provide meaningful feedback and recommendations to educational teams, families, and students
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to design effective behavioral and intervention plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs
  • Offer crisis intervention and counseling as needed to support student well-being
  • Provide consultation and professional development for school staff on mental health and behavior management strategies
  • Maintain detailed records and ensure all documentation complies with federal and state guidelines
