Job Description

A professional opportunity is available for experienced school psychologists to provide in-person psychological testing and assessment services for students with intense disabilities. This role focuses on supporting K-12 students who are non-verbal, physically impaired, or who communicate using assistive technology devices. The position is based in the Kansas City, Kansas area and involves travel between multiple school sites within the district.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations tailored to students with complex needs.
  • Collaborate with educational teams, families, and other professionals to interpret assessment results.
  • Support individualized education plans (IEPs) by providing accurate, detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Travel between various campus locations to fulfill testing responsibilities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid school psychologist certification or licensure appropriate for working in educational settings.
  • Proven experience working with students with severe disabilities, including non-verbal and physically impaired students.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology devices used for communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple caseloads and assess a diverse student population across K-12.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel between district sites as required.
