Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
- Valid certification or license to practice as a School Psychologist in the state of Kansas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Proven ability to conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results
- Experience with IEP development and participation in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, consultation, and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to promoting positive learning and behavioral outcomes for all students
- Familiarity with current best practices in mental health, social-emotional learning, and behavioral interventions
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychological services including assessment, counseling, and intervention for K-12 students
- Participate in the evaluation and identification process for special education eligibility
- Consult with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective educational strategies and behavioral plans
- Support individual and group counseling to address academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Serve as a member of multidisciplinary teams, contributing expertise to student support, crisis intervention, and educational planning
- Provide professional development and guidance to staff regarding student learning and behavior concerns
