Job Description

A contract position is available in the Kansas City, KS area for experienced School Psychologists specializing in serving students with intense disabilities. This role focuses on providing in-person psychological testing and support to K-12 students who may be non-verbal, physically impaired, or using assistive technology (AT) communication devices. Flexibility to travel between multiple campus sites within the district is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students with significant disabilities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to interpret assessment results and develop appropriate interventions
  • Support students educational plans through ongoing evaluation and consultation
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and state regulations
  • Engage directly with students, families, and educational professionals to promote student success

Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification as required by state standards
  • Proven experience working with diverse K-12 populations, particularly those with intense disabilities
  • Strong assessment and evaluation skills tailored to students using AT or with non-verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and travel between campus sites as necessary
  • Excellent communication and collaborative abilities

Location: Kansas City, Kansas, with responsibility across various campus sites in the district

Additional Details:

  • Contract term from August 12, 2026, to May 21, 2027
  • Further caseload specifics will be provided during the interview process
