A contract opportunity is available for experienced school psychologists to work in person with K-12 students requiring specialized testing and assessments. This position is based near Kansas City, KS, and runs from August 12, 2026, through May 21, 2027.
In this role, you will conduct comprehensive evaluations for students who have intense disabilities, including those who are non-verbal, physically impaired, or use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. You may also travel between multiple school sites within the district to provide essential psychological services where theyre most needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience working with students with significant disabilities, including non-verbal or physically impaired populations, is highly preferred
- Strong background in comprehensive psychoeducational testing and the use of assessment tools
- Comfortable working with assistive and alternative communication devices
- Ability and willingness to travel between multiple campus locations as necessary
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with diverse teams, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person psychoeducational assessments for K-12 students, with a focus on those requiring intensive support
- Analyze assessment data and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to inform IEP development
- Provide expertise on the use of AAC and adaptive technology in supporting student communication
- Participate in team meetings, contribute to evaluations, and support evidence-based intervention planning
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
