In this contract role, youll collaborate closely with educational teams, families, and fellow professionals to support students through comprehensive assessment, consultation, and intervention services.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (or eligibility to obtain in Alaska)
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Prior experience in a K-12 school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, data analysis, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to assess students cognitive, academic, and social-emotional functioning
- Provide consultation to teachers and staff regarding student learning and behavioral challenges
- Collaborate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing expertise to develop educational plans
- Participate in crisis intervention, prevention programs, and promote positive behavioral supports
- Deliver direct counseling and skill-building services to students as needed
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
