Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois School Psychologist License
- Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience or strong interest in working with K-12 students across diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, parents, and school staff
- Ability to conduct assessments, interpret results, and develop intervention strategies
- Commitment to promoting positive student outcomes and supporting inclusive practices
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct psychological services to students, including assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address learning and behavioral needs
- Conduct individualized evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services and create appropriate plans
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and provide expert input on student needs
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions and monitor progress
- Support social-emotional learning and foster positive school climates
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and district policies
