Job Description

Bring your expertise and dedication as a School Psychologist to a vibrant educational community near Joliet, IL. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity spans the academic year, supporting PreK-5th grade students across four elementary schools. Youll collaborate with another psychologist, sharing two sites each, ensuring a healthy balance in caseload and the chance to make a widespread impact.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement
  • Previous experience in a school setting working with elementary-aged students is highly preferred
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify student needs and support eligibility for special education services
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective interventions
  • Provide direct counseling and support to studentshelping them thrive academically and socially
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student plans
  • Document services and maintain confidentiality in accordance with district policy
  • Serve as an advocate for students well-being in a diverse elementary environment
