Job Description

Advance your career as a contract-to-hire School Psychologist working with both high school and elementary-age students in a vibrant educational setting near Joliet, IL. Partner with a supportive team to provide essential psychological services that foster student success. This opportunity allows you to make a lasting impact on a manageable caseload of approximately 40 to 50 students each week.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Active School Psychologist licensure through the State Board is mandatory
  • Previous experience working in school environments is highly preferred
  • Skilled in conducting assessments, developing intervention strategies, and supporting diverse student needs
  • Effective communicator, comfortable collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to work onsite for 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments for students in both elementary and high school age groups
  • Develop and participate in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior management support
  • Consult with educators and families to design interventions that enhance learning and emotional well-being
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records in line with state and federal guidelines
  • Act as a resource for professional development and training related to mental health and learning differences

Compensation for this position ranges from $27.00 to $90.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
