Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-27 school year supporting students in a dynamic K-12 environment as a dedicated School Psychologist. This full-time, onsite position offers the chance to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, contributing expertise that directly impacts student success and well-being. Work hours are aligned with traditional school schedules, running either 7:00 am 3:00 pm or 8:30 am 4:30 pm, depending on assignment.

Your role will be pivotal in the identification and evaluation of students who may benefit from special education services. Youll play an active part in creating, implementing, and monitoring behavior and academic intervention plans, as well as providing essential support through school-based counseling, particularly for students in crisis. As a resource for staff, parents, and students, your participation in Multidisciplinary, Intervention, Safety, and Crisis Teams will help foster a positive, inclusive school culture.

Ideal candidates will bring:

  • Current Nebraska School Psychologist license (required)
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and intervention planning for diverse student needs
  • Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and participate in team-based approaches

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting student assessments and eligibility evaluations
  • Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to identify supports
  • Leading development of intervention strategies and plans
  • Providing crisis intervention and individual or group counseling
  • Participating in the creation of safe, supportive learning environments
