Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role providing essential psychological services to students in a dynamic educational setting near Ithaca, NY. Youll work onsite supporting an itinerant caseload across 12 school sites, focusing on both elementary and middle school students. This full-time opportunity runs from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with a projected start in August 2026.

Ideal candidates are skilled professionals passionate about fostering student growth and well-being while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Youll serve as a key resource, helping create supportive, effective learning environments.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid NY School Psychologist license (required)
  • Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload across multiple school sites
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Commitment to ethical practice and student advocacy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive psychological assessments for students K-8
  • Deliver counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior management support
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaborations
  • Develop and implement evidence-based interventions for individual and group needs
  • Travel between assigned sites within the district as needed
