Job Description

This opportunity is for a licensed School Psychologist to support students across multiple grade levels, including K-5, 6-8, and 9-12, within a school setting located in Ipswich, South Dakota. The position is contract-based and offers the chance to work collaboratively in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments for students to identify learning needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff regarding student mental health, behavior, and learning strategies.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise in student support services.
  • Support flexible caseload management aligned with school needs.
  • Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions when appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Valid South Dakota school psychologist license is required.
  • Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience working with students across various grade levels is preferred.
  • Flexibility regarding caseload assignments.
  • Collaborative approach to working with school staff and families.
  • Previous experience in South Dakota schools is a plus.
  • Interns currently pursuing licensure will also be considered.
