This position offers the opportunity to provide crucial guidance, assessment, and intervention services for children and adolescents, working closely with educators and support staff to foster positive outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure for the state
- Masters or specialist-level degree in school psychology or related field
- Experience with psychoeducational assessments, behavioral interventions, and individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Skill in counseling and supporting students, parents, and staff
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility in a dynamic school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students learning, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation services as needed
- Assist in the promotion of positive school climates and mental wellness initiatives
- Interpret assessment data and communicate results with families and school personnel
- Facilitate and participate in student support or intervention meetings
- Contribute to professional development efforts for educators and staff
