Job Description

Step into a pivotal role supporting students educational journeys as a School Psychologist for the upcoming 20262027 academic year. This contract position offers 21 hours per week, working onsite with a population ranging from preschoolers to 4th graders. Youll play a key part in delivering psychological services, conducting special education evaluations, and ensuring that every childs needs are met with expertise and compassion.

What Youll Bring:

  • Masters degree (or equivalent) in School Psychology
  • Michigan Department of Education approval as a School Psychologist
  • Previous experience conducting special education evaluations, particularly for elementary-aged children, is highly valued
  • Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams, school staff, and families
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements and adherence to special education timelines

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct special education evaluations for students from preschool through 4th grade within the district
  • Adjust focus to grades 14 as needed, based on district priorities
  • Provide a wide range of psychological services, including assessments, consultations, and recommendations for interventions
  • Collaborate meaningfully with staff, multidisciplinary teams, and families to create student-centered plans
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation, ensuring compliance with state and district guidelines
