Step into a meaningful contract opportunity serving students from PreK through 12th grade in the Idaho Springs, CO area. Engage with a diverse caseload of approximately 35 students within the framework of a supportive, modern school district operating on a four-day week (Monday-Thursday). This position extends from ASAP through the end of the current school year and continues into the 2026-2027 school year, providing continuity and professional growth.
Required Qualifications:
- Current Colorado School Psychologist license
- CDE credentials as a School Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor
- Solid background in school-based mental health services and psychoeducational assessments
- Previous experience supporting students across the PreK-12 spectrum is preferred
- Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with educators, families, and community resources
- Ability to provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation services
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of roughly 35 students, offering both direct and consultative mental health support
- Administer psychoeducational evaluations for special education eligibility and intervention planning
- Develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans
- Offer individual and group counseling for students, as well as guidance for staff and families
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams, providing insight and recommendations for student success
- Deliver crisis response and intervention services when needed
- Foster a positive and inclusive school climate, supporting students academic and social-emotional growth
